We also understand the difficulty of their passing and the importance that their final journey is one of dignity and peace. Your pet will be treated with the utmost respect during their time in our professional care.

Our Service

We provide individual pet cremation services to the Mid-North Coast of NSW, including Port Macquarie, Taree, Forster, Kempsey and the surrounding areas. As a part of our service, we are able to arrange pick-up from your home, vet or other location. You can also ask your vet to contact us on your behalf. We transport your pet with care to one of our fully approved and vet-endorsed crematoriums. We can assist with all pets up to 90kg. Your wishes will be returned to you within five business days from the time your pet is collected.

We offer the following options for your loved one;

Option A – Cremation only

A peaceful and beautiful resting place awaits your special companion. Australian Pet Cremations will carefully scatter your companion’s ashes amongst the beautiful native surrounds on our property.

Option B - Ashes prepared for scattering

If you have a special location in mind for scattering or burial, we will return your pets ashes in a purpose designed bio degradable container.

Option C – Ashes returned in timber urn

Your pet's ashes are returned to you in a beautiful handmade timber urn with a complimentary engraved plaque included. Please note our engraving service is performed in-house. Up to 15 words are included. Larger plaques and additional engraving are available on request.

Option D– Ashes returned in photo box

Your pets ashes are returned to you in a beautiful hand-made timber urn designed for you to insert a photo of your favourite memory.

Pets have always been an essential part of our family. We have grown up and lived our lives with pets in our home and hearts. We have experienced the enjoyment, the friendship and the sorrow that this special relationship brings. Our desire to start Australian Pet Cremations grew from wanting to show our appreciation for the joy and happiness that our special companions brought into our lives. 

We feel that each and every pet should be farewelled with the compassion, kindness and friendship they showed us. APC offers a caring, compassionate and professional service for those who have lost their special companions. That’s why we are committed to first-class service and maintain the highest professional standards in our work.

We are also an accredited member of the International Association of Pet Cemetaries & Crematories (IAOPCC). The IAOPCC represents the gold standard in both business and ethics of the pet aftercare industry. IAOPCC Members are expected to uphold the high standards set by the Association and are bound by the standards and practices set forth by the Association.

Our highly trained staff are dedicated to providing sympathetic and dignified care to all animals placed in our trust. We use our own cremation facilties, so all our clients can be assured that cremation has been completed in a professional way. When the time comes you can rely on us.

Do I bring my pet to you?

We collect your pet from the veterinary clinic or home. We can also meet you at an alternative location if you need. 

How long will it be before I have my pet’s ashes returned?

Your pet’s ashes are returned within five business days from the time your pet is collected.

What happens if my pet is ‘put to sleep’ at the vet’s?

We collect from all Vets in our area, please feel free to contact us directly to make a booking or request your Vet call us on your behalf to carry out your wishes.

I would like to keep the ashes following my pet’s cremation, what are my options?

We provide a variety of options for all cremations. We can return your pet’s ashes in a beautiful hand selected timber urn, with complimentary engraved name plate. When organising cremation simply select this option on our booking form, advise your vet or speak with us.

What if I want to scatter the ashes?

We can return your pet’s ashes in a purpose-designed container, ready for scattering. We can also scatter the ashes on your behalf. When organising cremation simply select the option you desire on our information brochure.

We are also able to meet you at a convenient location.

We perform each cremation ourselves at one of our own state of the art facilities, so you can be assured that cremation has been completed in a professional way.

How is cremation completed?

A pet’s body is placed in the cremation chamber where, through heat and evaporation, the body is reduced to its basic elements and referred to as cremated remains or “ashes”.
